Tenzin was born on August 20th, 1993 and has been supported by Happy Home since end-1995. He lives in Bodnath, near Kathmandu, with his parents. His mother works at home as a weaver. His father used to work as a tourist guide but had to quit after a serious accident. Tenzin’s father then found work as a cook, and is currently working in a rug factory. When he returns home from work each day, he helps his wife make traditional Tibetan clothes known as Chhuba.

Tenzin is a very endearing and shy child. Despite receiving average marks sometimes, he works very hard at school. He often wrote us letters sharing his challenges. In our responses, we always try to encourage him!
